AAGSF: Aliens a Galactic Sound Flanks

From Moscow: drone/glitch of such extreme ambience it’s barely present. The ensemble’s own self-definition (if I tweak their English) does little to help us distinguish them from faceless background noise: “Matter cannot appear, nor can it disappear. The AAGSF project has always been that way, too. The sounds of new galaxies, of new civilizations. AAGSF is the heritage of a global infinity.”

As an embodiment of this brief statement or mini-manifesto, of sounds that seemingly relish their anonymity, we offer “The Condition of Full Calmness” (2008), just released on the French Coreback label.

And some accompanying video, also from March, 2008: “Megapolis Alive.”
